Lithuania Expo 2005 brand identity

The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Lithuania announced the contest of Expo 2005 logo together with the Lithuanian Graphic Design Association (LGDA). The Exhibition Expo 2005 was held in Japan. The main subject of the exhibition was wise use of natural resources. Only professional designers of LGDA participated in logo design process. There were 80 logo designs submitted. Moira Visuals won the 1st place; it was the work of designer Marius Bartkus, who was toying with the representations of smart use of natural resources and the image of Japanese bonsai tree. The logo depicts Expo tree, growing in the pot, designed from letters, together as a whole they compose a visual labyrinth.
